Federico CASAGRANDE italien installé à Paris, il est diplômé de la Berklee College of Music de Boston (2006)
En 2007 il remporte le premier prix au prestigieux concours Gibson Montreux Jazz Festival Competition, présidé par George Benson
Avec son trio il enregistre son premier disque “Spirit of the Mountains” sortie en janvier 2009 et sponsorisé par la Montreux Jazz Festival Foundation
Co-leader avec Christophe Panzani du groupe The Drops, il sort “Falling from the Sky” en 2012, “Spray” en 2013 et “Live in Paris” en 2015
Produit par CamJazz il enregistre The ancient battle of the invisible (2013), At the End of the Day (2014) (avec Vincent Peirani, Vincent Courtois et Michele Rabbia) et Double Circle (2015) en duo avec Enrico Pieranunzi
Federico aime également enseigner, et a participé à l’édition 2016 avec succès
